# Codex, Copilot and others

> Connect LePosta from Codex, GitHub Copilot in VS Code, Gemini CLI and any other MCP client that supports remote servers with OAuth.

> [!NOTE]
>
> GitHub Copilot has been tested with LePosta. The other clients on this page support remote MCP with OAuth but haven't been tested yet. Commands follow each client's documentation at the time of writing.

## Codex (CLI and IDE extension)

```bash theme={null}
codex mcp add leposta --url https://mcp.leposta.com/mcp
codex mcp login leposta
```

Codex reads MCP server instructions, so it should follow LePosta's rules without extra setup.

## GitHub Copilot in VS Code

Run **MCP: Add Server** from the command palette, choose **HTTP**, and paste:

```text theme={null}
https://mcp.leposta.com/mcp
```

VS Code then asks you to sign in through the browser.

## Gemini CLI

```bash theme={null}
gemini mcp add --transport http leposta https://mcp.leposta.com/mcp
```

Google has been moving CLI users to Antigravity CLI. If your installation uses Antigravity, add LePosta as a remote HTTP MCP server with the same URL in its MCP settings.

## Any other MCP client

LePosta needs:

| Requirement | Value |
| - | - |
| Transport | Streamable HTTP |
| URL | `https://mcp.leposta.com/mcp` |
| Auth | OAuth 2.1 with PKCE (S256) |
| Client registration | Dynamic Client Registration (RFC 7591) or Client ID Metadata Documents |
| Discovery | Protected Resource Metadata at `/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/mcp` |

See [MCP server overview](/mcp/overview.md) for the full technical details.
